Each evening as I take an inventory of the day’s events; much of the current news is pessimistic, or at best uncertain. We are all human, so it’s easy to feel fear or to take a side on some related issue. But I’m confident that our best path to conquering the virus is to work together, in strong lockstep with a common objective. We must choose unity, at a time where we actually must be alone to protect ourselves and others.
Now more than ever, we at Champion are fully committed to our customers, and to whatever positive role we can have in halting the coronavirus pandemic. Understanding that we merely support the brave caregivers who directly deliver care to the ailing, we must stand quietly in the background until the very moment that we are needed, and then deliver what is needed.
We have diligently practiced personal hygiene, social distancing and reduced meetings to keep TEAM Champion healthy, so our factory is absolutely open and we continue to manufacture our clinical seating products. Our suppliers have communicated they are also on solid ground, and together we intend to fully meet the needs of our customers in this troubled time. In fact, we are currently building our medical treatment recliners to stock, anticipating a time when our products could be needed to augment the bed capacity in heavily afflicted areas of the country. In addition, we have increased staff in our product support team to help ensure that our clinical recliners in the field are in the best possible condition; providing components and expert guidance to execute moderate repairs for our customers in need.
